Zone Two Aerobic Conditioning

Meaning

A specific exercise intensity defined as the level of exertion where the majority of energy production is derived from fat oxidation, typically corresponding to approximately 60-70% of an individual’s maximum heart rate. This conditioning is a cornerstone of metabolic health and longevity protocols, as it improves mitochondrial function, enhances metabolic flexibility, and strengthens cardiovascular endurance without inducing excessive systemic stress. It is often referred to as the fat-burning zone.
