Zang-Fu Theory

Meaning

Zang-Fu Theory is a foundational concept within Traditional Chinese Medicine that systematically describes the physiological and pathological functions of the internal organs. This framework categorizes organs into Zang (solid, yin organs like Liver, Heart, Spleen, Lung, Kidney, Pericardium) and Fu (hollow, yang organs such as Gallbladder, Small Intestine, Stomach, Large Intestine, Bladder, Triple Burner), highlighting their intricate interconnections and their roles in the generation and circulation of vital substances like Qi, Blood, and Body Fluids.
