Xenoestrogen Mitigation

Meaning

Xenoestrogen Mitigation is the clinical strategy focused on reducing the body’s total exposure to and minimizing the biological impact of xenoestrogens, which are exogenous, synthetic or naturally occurring chemical compounds that mimic the action of endogenous estrogens. These endocrine-disrupting chemicals can interfere with the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis, leading to hormonal imbalances, including estrogen dominance or disruption of androgen function. Mitigation involves both reducing environmental exposure and enhancing detoxification pathways.
