Workplace Health Equity

Meaning

Workplace Health Equity is the principle that all employees, regardless of their position, demographic characteristics, or pre-existing health status, should have fair and just access to resources and opportunities that support optimal health and well-being within the work environment. This goes beyond simple equality by addressing systemic and structural barriers that create disparities in health outcomes, such as access to health insurance, preventative care, and supportive workplace policies. Achieving equity is a critical objective for organizational health and productivity.
