Wellness Program Modification

Meaning

The formal process of making systemic changes to the design, requirements, incentives, or clinical components of an existing corporate or clinical wellness program. Modifications may be necessitated by changes in regulatory compliance standards, a shift in the target population’s health needs, or the need to improve program efficacy based on collected functional outcome data. Any modification must be carefully reviewed to ensure it does not introduce an undue burden or violate non-discrimination rules.
