Vitamin K2

Meaning

A fat-soluble vitamin, specifically menaquinone (MK), that plays an essential, yet often overlooked, role in calcium homeostasis, bone metabolism, and cardiovascular health. It functions as a cofactor for enzymes that activate key proteins responsible for directing calcium to the skeletal structure and away from soft tissues, particularly the arteries. Adequate K2 status is a clinical factor for both bone density and arterial health.
