Vitality and Resilience

Meaning

Vitality and Resilience are two distinct but interconnected measures of overall health and functional capacity. Vitality refers to the subjective and objective measure of physical energy, mental vigor, and the capacity for activity, reflecting a robust anabolic and metabolic state. Resilience is the physiological capacity of the body to rapidly return to a state of equilibrium following a perturbation, such as acute stress, illness, or intense exercise. Both are essential for a prolonged healthspan.
