VEGF Modulation

Meaning

VEGF Modulation is the clinical strategy of regulating the activity of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), a potent signaling protein that stimulates the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) and maintains the health of existing vascular structures. Appropriate modulation is critical for promoting tissue healing, enhancing oxygen and nutrient delivery to muscle and brain tissue, and maintaining optimal endothelial function. Dysregulation, however, can contribute to pathological conditions.
