Urological Monitoring

Meaning

The systematic and periodic clinical surveillance of the urinary tract and male reproductive organs, including the kidneys, bladder, and prostate, to detect, track, and manage conditions related to urological health. This monitoring is particularly critical in men undergoing testosterone replacement therapy, as androgens can influence prostate growth and the progression of pre-existing prostate conditions. Key components include Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) testing, digital rectal exams, and assessment of lower urinary tract symptoms.
