TSA Medical Liquids

Meaning

TSA Medical Liquids refers to prescription or over-the-counter liquid medications, gels, and aerosols that are deemed medically necessary for a passenger and are therefore exempt from the standard 3-1-1 rule for carry-on baggage enforced by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). This exemption allows individuals to travel with essential liquid medications, such as injectable hormones, in quantities exceeding the typical 3.4-ounce limit. The liquids must be declared to a TSA officer for separate inspection.
