TRT Recovery

Meaning

TRT Recovery describes the complex physiological process by which the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HPG) axis attempts to restore its natural, endogenous function after the complete cessation of exogenous Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT). This recovery involves the hypothalamus and pituitary gland gradually resuming the pulsatile release of GnRH, LH, and FSH, which are necessary to stimulate the testes to restart their own testosterone production and spermatogenesis. The process is highly variable and often requires clinical intervention to accelerate the return to a sustainable baseline hormonal state.
