Triglyceride Reduction

Meaning

Triglyceride reduction is the clinical and therapeutic goal of lowering the concentration of triglycerides, a type of fat (lipid) found in the blood, to within a healthy reference range. Elevated triglycerides are a key component of dyslipidemia and a significant, independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease, pancreatitis, and metabolic syndrome. Achieving this reduction is a primary target in managing cardiometabolic health.
