Transient Hypertension

Meaning

Transient hypertension is a temporary elevation of blood pressure that returns to normal levels without specific medical intervention, distinguishing it from chronic or essential hypertension. This temporary state can be triggered by acute physiological stressors, such as intense physical exertion, emotional distress, or certain medical conditions, and is typically a self-limiting response. While not a disease itself, frequent episodes may signal an underlying predisposition to chronic cardiovascular issues.
