Training Modalities refers to the diverse categories of physical activity and exercise, each distinguished by its unique physiological demands, movement patterns, and energy system utilization. These modalities include, but are not limited to, resistance training, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), steady-state cardiovascular exercise, and flexibility work. Clinically, the strategic selection and combination of different modalities are essential for eliciting specific, desired hormonal adaptations, such as increasing anabolic hormone release or improving insulin sensitivity. A varied approach prevents plateaus and optimizes systemic conditioning.
