Tissue Utilization Capacity

Meaning

Tissue Utilization Capacity is the physiological measure of a specific target tissue’s ability to effectively take up, metabolize, and respond to circulating hormones, nutrients, and oxygen. This capacity is a critical determinant of therapeutic efficacy, as high circulating hormone levels are meaningless if the peripheral tissues are functionally resistant or impaired. It is fundamentally a measure of cellular health, receptor density, and metabolic efficiency.
