Thrombotic Events

Meaning

In the realm of human physiology, thrombotic events refer to the pathological formation of a blood clot, known as a thrombus, within a blood vessel, which can be an artery or a vein, thereby impeding normal blood circulation. This abnormal clot formation can partially or completely obstruct blood flow, leading to tissue ischemia or infarction distal to the blockage.
