Third-Party Administrators

Meaning

A Third-Party Administrator, or TPA, is an organization that processes insurance claims and manages employee benefits for another entity, typically an employer or a self-funded health plan. In the context of hormonal health, TPAs handle the administrative functions related to insurance coverage, including the processing of claims for diagnostic tests, prescribed hormone therapies, and consultations with endocrine specialists. Their role is purely administrative, distinct from the direct provision of medical care or clinical oversight.
