Thermal Control

Meaning

Thermal Control describes the body’s physiological capacity to maintain core temperature homeostasis, which is intimately linked to metabolic rate and autonomic nervous system function. Optimal thermal regulation is a sign of efficient mitochondrial function and balanced sympathetic/parasympathetic tone. We assess the body’s ability to generate or dissipate heat effectively as a proxy for underlying metabolic vigor. Impaired thermal control often signals deeper endocrine inefficiency.
