Therapeutic Ranges

Meaning

Therapeutic Ranges are the clinically established concentration intervals for specific biochemical markers, including hormones, vitamins, or pharmacological agents, that are associated with maximizing clinical benefit and minimizing adverse effects in a given patient population. Unlike broad laboratory reference intervals, which simply reflect a statistically normal population, therapeutic ranges are specifically defined to achieve an optimal physiological outcome based on the patient’s individual health goals and clinical context. Precision medicine relies heavily on defining and maintaining these ranges.
