Testosterone Dosing

Meaning

Testosterone dosing is the clinical practice of determining and administering the appropriate amount, frequency, and route of exogenous testosterone to restore physiological levels in individuals with symptomatic hypogonadism. The goal of dosing is to achieve and maintain serum testosterone concentrations within the optimal range, alleviating symptoms while minimizing the risk of adverse effects, such as erythrocytosis or suppression of the Pituitary Gonadal Axis. This process requires continuous clinical monitoring and adjustment based on patient response.
