Testicular Toxicity

Meaning

Testicular Toxicity describes the detrimental effects of exogenous agents, including pharmaceutical drugs, environmental toxins, or excessive hormone administration, on the structural integrity and functional capacity of the testes. This damage can manifest clinically as impaired testosterone production, leading to hypogonadism, or as disruption of spermatogenesis, resulting in reduced fertility or azoospermia. Assessing and mitigating testicular toxicity is a critical consideration in any long-term male hormonal or pharmacological intervention.
