Testicular Support

Meaning

Testicular support, in clinical endocrinology, refers to therapeutic and prophylactic interventions designed to maintain or enhance the function and structural integrity of the testes, the primary male gonads. This strategy is most often employed when an individual is undergoing treatments that suppress endogenous testosterone production, such as exogenous testosterone replacement therapy. The goal is to preserve both the Leydig cell function, responsible for hormone production, and the Sertoli cell function, responsible for spermatogenesis.
