Testicular Performance

Meaning

The composite functional capacity of the testes, encompassing their dual roles in steroidogenesis (the efficient production of androgens, primarily testosterone) and spermatogenesis (the production of viable sperm). Optimal testicular performance is a critical marker of male vitality, fertility, and overall endocrine health, as it is tightly regulated by the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. Suboptimal performance is clinically characterized by low serum testosterone levels or impaired sperm quality.
