Temperature Monitoring

Meaning

Temperature Monitoring, in the context of hormonal health, refers to the systematic measurement and tracking of basal body temperature (BBT) or core body temperature to infer physiological status, particularly the hormonal fluctuations of the menstrual cycle. Clinically, BBT monitoring is used as a simple, non-invasive method to confirm ovulation, as the post-ovulatory rise in progesterone causes a sustained elevation in temperature. Beyond fertility, continuous core temperature monitoring is an emerging tool for assessing circadian rhythm integrity and overall metabolic rate.
