Systems Integrity

Meaning

Systems Integrity refers to the robust, uncompromised state of interconnected physiological networks, such as the neuroendocrine-immune axis, where all components function efficiently and in harmonious communication. A high degree of integrity signifies that the body’s regulatory systems can effectively manage stress, maintain precise hormonal balance, and mount appropriate adaptive responses to internal and external challenges. Loss of systems integrity, often due to chronic stress or aging, manifests as systemic dysfunction, reduced resilience, and increased vulnerability to disease.
