Systems Biology of Health

Meaning

The Systems Biology of Health is an integrative scientific framework that analyzes the human body not as a collection of isolated parts but as a complex, dynamic network of interacting biological entities, including genes, proteins, metabolites, and hormones. This approach seeks to understand emergent properties of health and disease arising from these complex interactions. We model the entire physiological ecosystem to predict outcomes. It is the science of interconnectedness.
