SystemicResilience

Meaning

Systemic Resilience is the body’s inherent and adaptive capacity to resist and recover effectively from physical, emotional, or metabolic stressors while maintaining core physiological functions and hormonal balance. This is a measure of the health and robust functioning of the integrated stress response systems, particularly the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) axis and the autonomic nervous system. High systemic resilience allows an individual to endure challenges with minimal long-term physiological cost, preserving energy and preventing the cascade of hormonal dysregulation often seen with chronic stress exposure.
