Systemic Signaling Integrity is the state of optimal, harmonious function across all major biological communication networks within the body, which critically includes the endocrine, nervous, and immune systems. Integrity denotes the clarity, accuracy, and appropriate timing of chemical and electrical signals transmitted between cells, tissues, and distant organs. When this integrity is high, hormones bind effectively to sensitive receptors, neurotransmitters transmit accurately across synapses, and the immune system responds appropriately and precisely. Loss of integrity is a hallmark of chronic disease and is characterized by phenomena like hormone resistance and chronic, low-grade inflammation.
