Systemic Re-Sensing

Meaning

Systemic re-sensing is the clinical process of recalibrating the body’s ability to accurately perceive and respond to its own internal and external biochemical signals, particularly those related to energy balance, stress, and hormonal feedback. This involves interventions that restore the sensitivity of cellular receptors and regulatory centers, such as the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, which may have become desensitized due to chronic stress or hormonal dysregulation. Re-sensing is a crucial step in restoring homeostatic control.
