Systemic Health Resilience

Meaning

The intrinsic capacity of the entire organism, including its endocrine, immune, and nervous systems, to resist disruption, recover swiftly from stressors, and maintain homeostatic stability when faced with internal or external challenges. High resilience is a direct measure of biological reserve and is a key indicator of long-term healthspan. It represents the body’s ability to “bounce back” without incurring permanent biological debt.
