Systemic Feedback is the fundamental physiological principle where the output of a biological system or regulatory axis is continuously monitored and used to modulate the system’s subsequent input or activity. This intricate communication loop, which can be either negative or positive, is essential for maintaining dynamic homeostasis across all body functions. In endocrinology, the most prominent example is the negative feedback loop where high levels of a circulating hormone inhibit the release of its upstream releasing factor, ensuring tight concentration control.
