Systemic Drag Mitigation

Meaning

Systemic Drag Mitigation is a conceptual term in functional and age-management medicine that describes the therapeutic strategy of actively reducing the cumulative physiological burden, or ‘drag,’ imposed by chronic low-grade inflammation, metabolic inefficiency, and persistent hormonal imbalances on the body’s total energy expenditure and functional reserve. The goal of mitigation is to free up systemic resources, thereby enhancing vitality and increasing the energy available for adaptive processes and high-level performance. This is achieved by systematically addressing the underlying sources of chronic stress and dysfunction.
