Systemic Downgrade

Meaning

Systemic Downgrade is a clinical term describing the progressive, multi-systemic decline in physiological function and homeostatic capacity, often associated with chronic allostatic load, persistent inflammation, or age-related cellular senescence. This downgrade manifests as a simultaneous deterioration across multiple organ systems, including hormonal dysregulation, metabolic inefficiency, and reduced immune surveillance. It represents a state of accelerating biological aging and decreased resilience to stressors.
