Systemic Chemical Dominance

Meaning

Systemic Chemical Dominance is a state of physiological imbalance where the circulating concentration or the biological effect of a particular chemical class, which may be an endogenous hormone or an exogenous endocrine-disrupting compound, significantly overwhelms the regulatory influence of other essential substances. This imbalance can lead to widespread cellular and tissue perturbation. A classic example is the clinical state of estrogen dominance relative to progesterone.
