Systemic Attenuation

Meaning

In a clinical context, this refers to the intentional, broad-based reduction or dampening of an overactive or dysregulated physiological process across multiple organ systems, typically targeting chronic inflammation, excessive catabolism, or hyper-anabolic signaling. It is a strategic intervention aimed at restoring systemic homeostasis by mitigating biological “noise” or overstimulation that contributes to accelerated aging and chronic disease. Attenuation seeks to shift the body’s internal state toward a more quiescent, repair-oriented mode.
