System Resilience Building

Meaning

System resilience building is the clinical and physiological process of enhancing the inherent capacity of the body’s interconnected systems—endocrine, immune, and neurological—to resist, adapt, and rapidly recover from internal or external stressors. This goes beyond mere homeostasis, aiming for allostasis, which is the process of achieving stability through physiological change. A resilient system exhibits robust hormonal feedback loops and minimal cumulative wear-and-tear.
