System-Level Control refers to the comprehensive, overarching regulatory mechanisms that coordinate the activity of multiple interconnected organs, tissues, and cellular processes to maintain physiological homeostasis across the entire organism. In endocrinology, this control is primarily exerted by the neuroendocrine system, specifically the hypothalamic-pituitary axes, which integrate sensory input and orchestrate the systemic release of hormones to manage energy, stress, reproduction, and growth. It represents the highest order of biological regulation.
