System Coherence

Meaning

System Coherence is the state of optimal, synchronized, and harmonious functioning across all major physiological systems, including the endocrine, nervous, immune, and metabolic networks. This coherence implies that the body’s various internal biological rhythms and complex feedback loops are operating in precise concert, resulting in maximal functional efficiency and systemic resilience. When the system achieves coherence, the body can adapt rapidly and appropriately to all internal and external stressors, maintaining a robust state of allostasis and homeostasis. A lack of coherence, or system dysregulation, is a common and fundamental feature underlying the development of chronic disease and accelerated biological aging.
