Symptom Mitigation

Meaning

Symptom Mitigation is a therapeutic objective focused on actively reducing the intensity, frequency, or overall impact of uncomfortable or debilitating clinical manifestations associated with a disease state or hormonal imbalance. While it does not always address the root physiological cause, successful symptom mitigation is a critical clinical step for improving a patient’s immediate comfort, quality of life, and adherence to long-term curative or restorative treatment plans. It often involves targeted, short-term interventions.
