SWS Quality

Meaning

A measure of the overall physiological effectiveness and restorative power of Slow-Wave Sleep (SWS), also known as N3 or deep sleep, based on both its duration and the intensity of associated brain wave activity. High SWS quality is clinically characterized by sufficient time spent in this stage and robust Delta Wave Amplitude, indicating maximal opportunity for growth hormone release and cerebral clearance. This metric is a powerful biomarker for nocturnal recovery and systemic health.
