Supraphysiological Peaks

Meaning

Supraphysiological Peaks are transient or sustained concentrations of a hormone or other physiological substance in the circulation that exceed the upper limit of the normal, naturally occurring range for that individual. These peaks are typically the result of exogenous administration of a substance, such as high-dose hormone therapy or anabolic agents, often delivered through specific administration routes. Clinically, they are associated with an increased risk of side effects and disruption of the body’s natural endocrine feedback loops.
