Supraphysiological Estrogen

Meaning

Supraphysiological Estrogen denotes a circulating concentration of estrogen hormones that substantially surpasses the peak levels naturally occurring during a normal menstrual cycle or the established upper limit of the healthy physiological reference range. This state is typically a consequence of exogenous administration, often in the context of assisted reproductive technology or unmonitored hormone therapy. Such elevated levels can significantly disrupt the normal hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis feedback mechanism.
