Supra-Physiological GH Levels

Meaning

Supra-Physiological GH Levels refer to concentrations of Growth Hormone (GH) in the systemic circulation that are significantly in excess of the normal, pulsatile, and age-appropriate levels naturally produced by the pituitary gland. This state of hormonal excess is typically the result of exogenous administration, often in non-clinical settings, or due to a pathological condition such as a pituitary adenoma causing acromegaly. These elevated levels exceed the body’s natural set point for growth and metabolism.
