Super-Potent Dosing

Meaning

Super-Potent Dosing is the clinical administration of a therapeutic agent, hormone, or nutrient at a concentration that significantly exceeds the level required to saturate the target receptors or enzyme systems and achieve the maximal therapeutic effect. While it may accelerate the initial response, this dosage often leads to an increased risk of dose-dependent adverse effects, toxicity, or the saturation of metabolic clearance pathways. This approach deviates from the principle of finding the minimum effective dose.
