Subjective Effort Reporting

Meaning

A structured, self-assessment methodology where an individual provides qualitative and quantitative feedback on their perceived level of mental exertion, physical fatigue, and overall cognitive load during specific tasks or time periods. This clinical tool provides a critical, real-time measure of internal experience that complements objective physiological data. Reporting helps to identify the discrepancy between objective performance and the perceived cost of that performance.
