Subclinical State Identification

Meaning

Subclinical state identification is the process of detecting subtle physiological or biochemical abnormalities that do not yet meet the diagnostic criteria for a defined disease but represent an early stage of functional decline or increased risk. In hormonal health, this often involves identifying mild HPA axis dysregulation, early insulin resistance, or marginal thyroid dysfunction through advanced biomarker testing. Proactive identification of these states allows for non-pharmacologic interventions to prevent progression to overt, symptomatic clinical disease.
