Subclinical Dysregulation

Meaning

A state of physiological imbalance or impaired homeostatic control within an organ system, particularly the endocrine system, where the deviation from the optimal range is not yet severe enough to manifest overt, diagnosable disease symptoms according to standard clinical criteria. This condition is characterized by subtle but persistent abnormalities in biomarkers, such as hormone levels or inflammatory markers, that precede the development of full-blown pathology. Identifying and addressing subclinical dysregulation is a core objective of proactive and preventative hormonal health practice.
