Structural Consolidation

Meaning

Structural Consolidation describes the physiological process, often hormone-dependent, by which newly formed or repaired tissues achieve their final, durable, and load-bearing architecture, particularly within the skeletal and muscular systems. This phase follows initial matrix deposition and involves mineralization or cross-linking to maximize biomechanical strength and resilience. It represents the maturation of tissue remodeling efforts.
