Strength and Power Output

Meaning

Quantifiable measures of muscular performance that are critical indicators of functional health, metabolic reserve, and overall longevity. Strength refers to the maximal force a muscle or muscle group can exert, while power output is the rate at which that force can be generated. Declines in both metrics are hallmarks of aging and are directly influenced by the anabolic environment, particularly the levels of sex steroids and growth hormone. Maintaining high output is a primary goal of sarcopenia prevention and reversal protocols.
