Skeletal Architecture

Meaning

Skeletal Architecture refers to the complex, three-dimensional microstructural organization of bone tissue, encompassing the density, thickness, and connectivity of the trabecular bone struts and the integrity of the cortical bone shell. This architecture is the primary determinant of bone strength and its resistance to fracture. It is a dynamic structure constantly being remodeled in response to mechanical stress and systemic hormonal signals.
